A delightful single-storey retreat, this holiday property is adjacent to its owner’s home but is detached and enjoys its privacy. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom stone hideaway is situated at the heart of the picturesque Peak District, between Calver and Baslow. In a superb location for country walks, it is well placed for hikes up to Baslow Edge, 1 mile away, and Curbar Edge, 1.5 miles away, both known for their panoramic views. The cottage is also less than 3 miles from famous Chatsworth House, with its magnificent stately home and exquisite grounds to explore. Bakewell, with its many colourful, independent shops and array of eateries, serving local produce and the town’s famous pudding, is 5 miles from the cottage.
Let yourselves in to discover a bright and airy lounge/diner, with leaded windows and colourful furnishings and decor. Here there are plump sofas to settle on as you watch the TV or a DVD, together with a dining table and chairs for enjoying special holiday meals. The kitchen/diner is another light-filled space, which is well-equipped for catering for your family or friends and has a table where you can enjoy breakfasts together before heading out. The bedrooms at the cottage include a double and a twin and there is a family bathroom.
Guests can enjoy the sunshine out in the small courtyard, where there is garden furniture, on warm spring and summer days.
