A beautifully presented two-bedroom property that sleeps up to four guests. Family friendly, it provides an inviting lounge and dining area gathered around the glowing gas fire, a quality fitted and well-equipped kitchen, plus attractive bedrooms with crisp linen and fluffy towels. Located in Matlock Moor – a series of seven coniferous woodlands – it's the perfect place for family strolls, dog walking and horse riding. Just 1.5 miles away is the bustling town of Matlock with an abundance of shops, restaurants and Hall Leys Park. There’s also a museum and aquarium, the Heights of Abraham with cable car access, cafes, fish and chips, amusement arcades and riverside walks in nearby Matlock Bath.

You enter the property into the open-plan lounge/diner with a luxurious Chesterfield sofa, armchair, pine table and chairs, plus a TV with DVD. There’s also a glowing flame-effect gas fire to keep you warm and cosy on chilly nights. The kitchen is well fitted with a small breakfast bar, plus all the cooking facilities you could need for a self-catering stay. The first bedroom offers a double bed, vanity unit and TV. The second bedroom has twin beds and a vanity unit. You also have a shower room and a separate WC.

Outside, there is a lawned rear garden with bench seating for enjoying the sunshine.

Wayside Cottage is perfect for a Peak District holiday, close to so many beautiful places. The cottage is cosy and welcoming and has everything you need. The hosts are so friendly we will certainly be going back!

We first stayed at Wayside farm in1994 it's still as comfortable and cosy as we remember it. The owners are still as welcoming. Will definitely be returning soon.
