Trying the famous Bakewell pudding is a must, and there’s lots to see in Buxton, home to an Opera House, Solomon’s Temple, and Poole’s Cavern. Visit Chatsworth House (9 miles) and Haddon Hall (7 miles), and the Blake Mere Mermaid Pool with its fascinating legend (9 miles).
