A beautiful country cottage situated on the edge of the Peak district in the lovely village of Woolley Moor. Set just on the edge of Ogston Reservoir, which sits half a mile away and boasts wonderful woodland and farmland, a popular sailing club, and has a rich diversity of birds, making it popular with bird watchers. Ashover is less than two miles away, with a lovely quaint coffee shop, three pubs, a post office, village farm shop and butchers shop. Matlock is just over 5 miles away, with lots of lovely shops to explore, a park and wonderful walks by the River Derwent. Venturing down Dale Road, the walk by the river takes you into vibrant Matlock Bath, the seaside without the sea and home to Gulliver's Kingdom and The Heights of Abraham. For some history and culture visit Hardwick Hall with it's gorgeous gardens and an Elizabethan house to explore, built by Bess of Hardwick. Or visit Chatsworth House, farmyard and Gardens and Haddon Hall, all within 12 miles and all featured in period dramas, famous films, and documentaries.
The cottage is beautiful inside and out, with private parking across the road from the cottage. The cottage has a lovely traditional Derbyshire country cottage appeal with original beams, whilst the inside has modern touches and beautiful colour accents throughout. There is a boot room and family bathroom just inside, before entering the contemporary kitchen, which is a well-equipped space, complete with a coffee machine for that perfect morning brew. The living room has wonderful colour accents and plenty of soft seating for you to gather and relax after a day’s exploring. The dining room offers a wood burner and French doors open to the stunning garden area. Upstairs there are three really good sized bedrooms and a family shower room.
